Established in 1934, MMSC is an organization with deep roots in ski racing history, and the club is committed to honoring these roots while building its future as a leading alpine ski racing program. In the early decades of the sport, MMSC brought many of the world’s best alpine racers to Stowe to compete on its famed terrain. The club was the training ground of Billy Kidd, the first American to medal in Olympic alpine skiing with his silver in the 1964 Innsbruck Winter Olympics. For many years, MMSC has played a key role in developing U.S. Ski Team and Olympic athletes.
